1. Who is responsible
Impostor Party is published by Karel Budík, an independent developer based in Spain. For privacy questions or requests, email impostorpartygame@gmail.com.
2. Data stored on your device
Player names, game settings, My words, language choice, supporter badge choice, and the app’s local Premium status are stored on your iPhone. This information is used only to operate the game and is not uploaded to us.
Deleting the app normally removes this local information. Apple device backups may retain a copy according to your iCloud or device-backup settings. Version 1.0 has no app-operated account, cloud sync, export, or separate backup. Custom words remain exactly as entered and are not automatically translated.
3. Premium purchases
Apple processes the optional one-time Premium purchase under Apple’s terms. We do not receive or store your payment-card information.
In production builds, the app connects to RevenueCat when it opens, including before a purchase, to check Premium status and load the localized App Store price. RevenueCat is also used to validate purchases, unlock Premium, support Restore purchases, prevent purchase fraud, and provide purchase reporting. RevenueCat may process an automatically generated anonymous App User ID, Apple receipt and transaction information, purchase history, and limited technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, locale, and IP address. We do not provide RevenueCat with your name or email address, and we do not use its data for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Apple and RevenueCat retain purchase information under their own legal and operational requirements. Purchase history is used for app functionality and purchase analytics. Read the RevenueCat Privacy Policy and Apple Privacy Policy.
4. When you email support
If you contact us, we receive the email address, message, and any attachments or technical details you choose to send. We use them only to answer you, investigate the issue, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Support mail is handled through Gmail, provided by Google. We may use OpenAI’s Codex service to classify support messages and prepare draft replies. The developer reviews replies before they are sent; Codex is not authorized to send, delete, or archive customer messages automatically.
Routine resolved support messages are normally deleted within 180 days. We may keep a message longer when reasonably necessary for an unresolved purchase, security, legal, or App Store matter. Never send passwords, verification codes, full card details, or complete unredacted receipts.
5. This support website
We do not add advertising cookies or behavioral analytics to this site. Hosting and security providers may process routine technical request logs, such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and time of access, to deliver and protect the site.
6. What we do not collect
The app does not request your contacts, precise location, photos, camera, microphone, health information, or advertising identifier. It contains no third-party advertising and no general behavioral analytics SDK.
7. Legal reasons for processing
Where European privacy law applies, purchase validation is necessary to provide the Premium feature you requested. Support, security, fraud prevention, and minimal purchase reporting are based on our legitimate interests in operating and improving the app. Some records may be processed to meet legal obligations.
8. Service providers and international processing
Apple, RevenueCat, Google, and our website hosting providers process data under their own privacy terms and may process it outside your country. Their applicable contractual and legal safeguards govern those transfers. We do not sell personal data or share it for targeted advertising.
9. Your choices and rights
- Delete the app to remove locally stored names, settings, and My words.
- Use Restore purchases while signed in to the Apple Account that bought Premium.
- Use Apple’s Report a Problem for refund requests.
- Email us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of support correspondence or identifiable purchase-support records.
Because the app has no account and RevenueCat uses an anonymous identifier, we may need a transaction reference or other limited details to locate a purchase record, and we may not always be able to identify a record that remains purely anonymous. Do not send payment-card information or Apple credentials. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing and to complain to your local data-protection authority.
10. Children
Impostor Party is family-friendly but does not create child profiles or knowingly collect personal information from children. The game is played locally. Purchases are controlled by the device’s Apple Account, parental controls, and Apple’s purchase approval settings.
11. Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we will update this page and its effective date. Material changes will be reflected before the relevant app update is released.
